Top Business Apps on Android in South Africa, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, South Africa's top business apps on the Android platform showed varied performance trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Cryptoguru: Trading Simulator maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 20.5K and peaking at 31.2K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users mirrored this upward trend, growing from 58.6K to over 103K.

Microsoft Teams experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 19.2K in early October and dropping to about 4.5K by the end of the year. Despite this, the app's weekly active users remained robust, though they decreased from over 1.24M to around 488K.

Indeed Job Search showed fluctuations in downloads, with a notable dip in mid-December to 7.3K, followed by a rebound to 16.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased steadily, reaching a peak of 321K before settling at 245K.

LinkedIn: Jobs & Business News saw consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $27.3K in late November. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a low of 9.5K in December, but active users remained strong, peaking at over 3.5M in late October.

MyTelkom had a varied download pattern, peaking at 20.1K in early November and ending the quarter with 14.9K. Active users showed resilience, increasing from 181K to over 203K by the end of the year.
